Representatives from more than 110 countries have confirmed that they will attend the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in October, said Mao Ning, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson, on September 19.
Mao made the remarks at a daily press briefing when asked about the preparations for the forum.
The events during the forum include the opening ceremony, three high-level forums on connectivity, green development and digital economy, and six thematic forums on trade connectivity, people-to-people connectivity, think tank exchanges, clean Silk Road, subnational cooperation and maritime cooperation, according to Mao.

A CEO conference is also to be held, said Mao, adding that preparation for the forum is well underway.
On June 22, the Sino-French satellite Space Variable Objects Monitor (SVOM) was successfully launched. Earlier, on May 3, China's Chang'e-6 lunar probe carried France's Detection of Outgassing RadoN to the moon, marking the first collaboration between the two countries in lunar exploration and France's debut in a lunar landing project. This year also celebrates the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France, highlighting their longstanding cooperation in space.
Pushing the development of tech innovation is needed to achieve China's goal of becoming a leading sports nation by 2035, as well as becoming a modernized country.
